The Categories - Book by Aristotle
"The Categories" is one of Aristotle's earliest works on philosophy and logic. In this text, Aristotle classifies and defines various concepts that are fundamental to understanding language and thought. It lays out ten categories, or classes of things, that exist in the world: substance, quantity, quality, relation, place, time, position, state, action, and passion. Aristotle also discusses how these categories apply to different objects and how they relate to each other.
